The official Italian newspaper revealed that French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi will visit the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, on June 16.
The Italian newspaper said in a report published today, Monday, that it had obtained information about the visit of the three leaders from government sources.
She also explained that she was able to set the date of the visit despite the Italian government’s instructions to keep it secret for security reasons.
The three leaders are expected to meet with President Vladimir Zelensky to discuss mine clearance of Ukrainian ports and grain imports.
Draghi may also discuss with his counterparts his two-day visit to Israel, which begins on Monday.
The German newspaper “Bild am Sonntag” had published about the upcoming visit on Sunday, without specifying the date, quoting sources in the Ukrainian and French government.
