American actor and human rights advocate Mark Ruffalo has publicly condemned what he described as a “man-made famine” in Gaza, calling the situation a crime against humanity and urging world leaders to take immediate action to address the humanitarian crisis.

In a widely shared post across his official social media accounts, Ruffalo—best known for his role as “Hulk” in the Avengers film series—stated that the crisis in Gaza is not a natural disaster but rather the result of deliberate policy decisions.

“This is a systematic tragedy—a forced starvation, a manufactured famine. Children and families are being left to die while the world watches in silence,” Ruffalo wrote.

He called on the international community not to remain passive, asserting that silence amounts to complicity and that inaction only deepens the suffering.

“Humanity demands more from us. Do something.” With these words, Ruffalo concluded his message, which also included a call for accountability and justice. He emphasized the role of ordinary citizens in raising their voices to help end the famine, halt the destruction, and advocate for life.

Broad Reaction from the Public and Hollywood Colleagues

Ruffalo’s post generated significant engagement from fans and fellow actors. Josh Brolin, who portrayed the character “Thanos” alongside Ruffalo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, responded with a message of support: “Thank you, Mark,” accompanied by heart emojis.
