German Chancellor: Putin needs to understand he won’t succeed in his aggression
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz considered it necessary for Putin to understand that he would not succeed in his aggression against Ukraine, and that he should withdraw his troops from it.
“Ukraine’s proposals show that it is ready for peace, but there are decisions to be taken by the Russian President,” Schultz said in remarks today.
“We have to produce and maintain the main weapons that we use permanently.”
With regard to energy imports necessary to eliminate Russian dominance, Schultz said: “We have been able to increase imports of liquefied gas from western Europe and build new ports in our northern shores.”
