German Defense Minister Christina Lambrecht said that the response to the recent speech of Russian President Vladimir Putin will be the continuation of arms supplies to Ukraine from Germany and other European Union countries.
“The response we will give is very consistent and coherent. There will be no deviation. We will continue to support Ukraine in its courageous struggle. This is evidenced by the fact that we have now been able to organize an exchange (old for new weapons) with Greece and Slovenia,” she said at a joint press conference with her French counterpart, Sebastien Licornu. So that their tanks can be sent to Ukraine very quickly.” Lambrecht added that Berlin will provide Kyiv with artillery systems and launchers, within the framework of military assistance.
Also on September 21, Putin gave a speech on the situation in Donbass and the course of the special operation. He stated that Moscow would support decisions of referendums in the regions of the republics of Donetsk and Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, and announced a partial mobilization in Russia, describing it as a decision fully appropriate to the current threats.
