Saudi Arabia Strengthens Cooperation with Russia in Gold Exploration Projects
Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, discussed potential participation by the Russian company Nordgold in gold exploration projects within the Kingdom during his visit to Russia.
According to a ministry press statement, discussions focused on gold exploration opportunities launched in January 2025, covering an area estimated at 50,000 square kilometers. The talks also included knowledge transfer, technology exchange, and expanding joint mining and environmental projects.
Al-Khorayef previously participated in the international industrial exhibition “INNOPROM” held in Yekaterinburg, where Saudi Arabia was an official partner this year. He confirmed that the participation reflects the Kingdom’s desire to enhance commercial and economic cooperation with Russia.
