Hajj Hassan: Either electing a president with 65 votes or cancelling the session

Deputy Hussein Hajj Hassan confirmed in an exclusive statement to “Al Jadeed” channel that the relationship with the Lebanese army commander is “strong and positive,” noting that there is no veto on his name.
He explained that the party’s candidate so far is Suleiman Franjieh, emphasizing that electing a president with 65 votes is not a “maneuver.”
Hajj Hassan added that the party prefers to elect a president with the required majority, and if that is not achieved, the other option is to cancel the session and not elect a president.
He expressed the party’s openness to the first option, reflecting a desire to achieve political consensus in the country.
