Hamas Reaffirms Commitment to Arms, Calls It a National Right

Hamas stated in an official release that weapons constitute a national entitlement recognized by international laws and conventions, emphasizing its continued adherence to this stance until the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

The statement noted that the lack of international accountability reflects a failure to take effective measures, adding that Hamas, along with other actors, forms a national current working toward return.

Hamas also welcomed the statement issued by the International Conference on the Two-State Solution held in New York, along with positions calling for a ceasefire, prisoner exchanges, the delivery of humanitarian aid, and halting annexation plans.
