Harry and Meghan at Christmas celebrations

There is new hope in British royal relations, and signs of improving relations between Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, with the rest of the royal family. According to sources close to the Daily Mail website, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are likely to accept an invitation to spend Christmas with King Charles and the rest of the royal family at Sandringham.
Harry and Meghan have not spent Christmas at Sandringham since 2018. Interestingly, they may accept an invitation to visit Balmoral in Scotland.
As the California-based Sussex family has no permanent residence in Britain, after the King decided to vacate their Windsor home, Frogmore Cottage, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex need a “formal invitation” from King Charles or Buckingham Palace to stay.
This is in addition to providing the necessary protection for them, especially after Prince Harry lost his right to police protection while he was in the United Kingdom. It is likely that accommodation will be made available to the Prince for short visits, should any requests be received.
This came after a source told the Mail on Sunday that King Charles wants to spend more time with his grandchildren, as the King has only spent a little time with his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet, and they have never spent Christmas with their grandfather.
Prince Harry and King Charles’ birthday
In another step to improve relations, Harry recently made a phone call with his father, King Charles, on his seventy-fifth birthday. This call, according to what The Times reported, may be a turning point in the tense relationship between the Sussexes and the king. They also made a video singing Happy Birthday to the King.
In another context, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children moved to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor headquarters last year. Which enhances the opportunity for King Charles to spend more time with them. It seems that this shift in the king’s behavior reflects his orientation towards strengthening family ties and focusing on his role as a loving grandfather.
