Historic agreement between the United States and Venezuela

Chief Venezuelan negotiator Jorge Rodriguez said that Venezuela and the United States of America agreed to improve bilateral relations, as part of the resumption of dialogue between the two sides.
According to Rodriguez, the two parties agreed on the intention of both Washington and Caracas to work together to gain trust and improve relations, as well as to maintain communication in a “respectful and constructive” manner.
Last Monday, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced the resumption of dialogue with Washington, a month before the country’s presidential elections scheduled for the end of July, as the United States of America imposes sanctions on many vital sectors in Venezuela, the most important of which is oil.
