Hundreds of dead and wounded in the deadliest explosion in Afghanistan since the Taliban seized power

The death toll from the explosion that targeted a Kunduz mosque in northern Afghanistan has reached 50 people and more than 140 wounded, in an indefinite toll that is likely to rise, according to news agencies quoted by their sources in the country.

The explosion coincided with the gathering of a number of residents to perform Friday prayers, while the circulating pictures showed great damage caused by the bombing, which was caused by a suicide bomber belonging to the “ISIS” organization.
