Idlib Rescue Government Requests Protesters’ Licence to Hold Demonstration

The rescue government of Tahrir al-Sham, which controls Idlib in northwestern Syria, is seeking to pass a law prohibiting demonstrations against the authority’s leader Abu Mohammed al-Golani.
The Salvation Government is attempting to enact the Law on Demonstrations, which derives from a 2011 law issued by the Syrian Government to organize demonstrations against it, but was not adopted by the protesters at the time.
The law requires an application for a demonstration to be held 5 days in advance, its location, itinerary, demands and chants, with the possibility of rejecting it.
