Inter Milan has officially secured a spot in the UEFA Champions League 2025 semifinals after a dramatic 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich in the second leg of the quarterfinals, held at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan. The Italian side progressed thanks to their 2-0 away victory in the first leg in Munich.
Inter entered the match with a clear advantage and managed to dominate the first half, keeping a clean sheet and controlling the tempo.
The second half saw a rise in intensity when Harry Kane opened the scoring for Bayern in the 52nd minute, reviving hopes for a comeback. However, Inter responded quickly with a goal from Lautaro Martínez in the 58th minute, followed by a second strike from Benjamin Pavard just three minutes later.
Bayern’s Eric Dier pulled one back in the 76th minute, but the German giants couldn’t find a decisive third goal to force extra time.
With a 4-3 aggregate win, Inter Milan advances to face Spanish powerhouse FC Barcelona in a high-stakes Champions League semifinal showdown set for the end of April.
