Iran responds to the Israeli bombing of Syria

Iran has announced that the illegal presence of foreign forces in areas of Syria has created favorable conditions for terrorist activities.
Iran’s permanent representative to the United Nations Majid Takht Ravanchi referred, during the Security Council meeting, to “the repeated Israeli violations of Syria’s sovereignty,” saying: “The recent attacks carried out by the Israeli entity against Syria, which affected civilians and the non-military infrastructure of this country, are a violation of international laws.” human rights.”
Rawangi called on the Security Council to “hold the Israeli entity accountable for these aggressive and evil acts and the threat to use force against the countries of the region, which puts peace and security in them at risk.”
He also pointed out that the Syrian people face many challenges, and facing them requires vigorous efforts in various fields, noting that most of the civil infrastructure in Syria has been destroyed.
Last Thursday, three Israeli soldiers were killed in an Israeli missile attack on the Syrian capital, Damascus.
A Syrian military source said, “At approximately 1:10 am today, February 24, 2022, the Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression with rockets from the direction north of Lake Tiberias, targeting some points in the vicinity of the city of Damascus.”
The source added: “Our air defenses confronted the aggression’s missiles and shot down most of them, which led to the death of three soldiers and some material losses.”
Israel launches raids on military sites that it says belong to pro-Iranian factions in several areas in Syria, while Israel reiterates that it will continue to confront what it describes as Iran’s attempts to establish its military presence in Syria.
