Iran responds to tripartite declaration to reduce its nuclear obligations

Iran immediately responded to the announcement made by France, Britain and Germany about the submission of a draft resolution to the IAEA Board of Governors, announcing Tehran’s immediate reduction of its nuclear commitments.
Iranian media said Tehran would respond if the IAEA Board of Governors issued a resolution against it.
She quoted the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Authority as saying, “We reduce our commitments under the nuclear agreement as long as the other parties do not commit themselves.”
He added: “Iran is at the stage of reducing its nuclear commitments in the JCPOA.”
The draft European resolution called on Iran to implement the joint statement announced in March 2023, and to reverse the withdrawal of the permits of several experienced agency inspectors.
