Iran terms Trump agrees and Israel suspends its air campaign
Iranian state television reported that U.S. President Donald Trump has agreed to Iran’s terms to end the war, while CNN quoted a senior White House official as saying that Israel has agreed to suspend its air campaign on Iran during negotiations.
Trump had said earlier that he agreed to suspending strikes on Iran for two weeks, adding that this period would allow for the completion and finalization of an agreement. He added that agreement had been reached on nearly all previous points of contention between the United States and Iran, noting that most disputed issues had been resolved.
Trump said significant progress had been made toward a final agreement on long-term peace with Iran, adding that the United States had achieved and exceeded all its military objectives. He explained that the United States had received a 10-point Iranian proposal, which it considered a valid basis for negotiation to resolve past differences.
