Iraq Announces Completion of 400 km of Concrete Wall on Syrian Border

Iraqi Security Media Cell Chief, Major General Tahsin al-Khafaji, announced on Tuesday the completion of 400 km of a concrete wall along the 615 km Iraqi-Syrian border. Al-Khafaji confirmed that security fortifications in the region, which include cooperation between the Ministries of Interior and Defense, as well as the Popular Mobilization Forces, have successfully enhanced stability along the border. He also mentioned that work will continue to complete the wall by mid next year to ensure there are no security gaps.
