Iraqi Warning Against Misleading Reports on the Border with Syria

The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Sabah Al-Numan, denied the accuracy of reports claiming that a decision had been issued to form a security crisis cell headed by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani to monitor developments along the Iraqi-Syrian border.

Al-Numan confirmed that these reports are false, urging reliance only on official sources for information. He also noted that Al-Sudani has directed the Media and Communications Authority to take legal action against media outlets that deliberately spread misleading news.
