Is Britain moving its embassy to Jerusalem?

British Prime Minister Liz Truss said she is considering moving the British embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, according to an Israeli channel.
The channel indicated that “Britain is considering moving the headquarters of its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, as British Prime Minister Liz Truss had sent a message in this regard to Prime Minister Yair Lapid during their last meeting at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.”
As Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid thanked his British counterpart Liz Truss for her announcement, in a tweet Lapid posted on his Twitter account.
He said in his tweet: “I thank my dear friend, British Prime Minister Liz Truss, who announced that she is studying positively the possibility of moving the British Embassy to Jerusalem – the capital of Israel -. We will continue to work to strengthen the partnership between the two countries.”
A senior political official told Kan that “Israel would be very happy, if Britain did this,” saying: “We hope that it is possible.”
