Israel appoints an ambassador to this Arab country

This evening, Sunday, Israel announced the appointment of David Govrin as its ambassador to Morocco, after the announcement of the normalization of relations between Tel Aviv and Rabat late last year.
According to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, the appointments committee in the Israeli Foreign Ministry approved the appointment of Govrin as ambassador in Rabat.
Guvrin has served as Israel’s ambassador to Egypt since 2016, before he went to Morocco to occupy the position of Chargé d’Affairs at the Israeli embassy there.
