Israel Launches New Wave of Airstrikes in Iran as Iranian Forces Respond

Israel’s Channel 12 reported that airstrikes are currently targeting Mehrabad and Bushehr airports in Iran, where several Iranian fighter jets are believed to be stationed.

In a related report, Yedioth Ahronoth stated that the Israeli military has destroyed a significant number of rocket launch platforms and storage facilities within Iranian territory. The newspaper added that a new wave of airstrikes is ongoing across multiple locations in the country.

Meanwhile, Iranian state-affiliated media reported that an Israeli drone was intercepted and downed after it entered the airspace over the city of Tabriz in northwestern Iran. The head of Tabriz’s Crisis Management Department confirmed that five fatalities occurred as a result of an Israeli strike on the city.
