Israel: We Will Not Withdraw from South Lebanon After 60 Days for These Reasons

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority (Kan 11) reported on Friday that Israel is unlikely to withdraw from southern Lebanon after the 60-day period outlined in the ceasefire agreement, despite the accord between the involved parties.
The report explained that the reason for this is the Lebanese Army’s failure to adhere to the terms of the agreement, in addition to Hezbollah’s attempts to reorganize its forces in the region.
It further added that “under the ceasefire agreement, the Lebanese Army is supposed to deploy in the area, but it is doing so at an extremely slow pace.”
