Israeli Airstrike Kills Senior Official in Gaza

Eleven Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike early Thursday, targeting the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Israeli military confirmed the death of Major General Mahmoud Salah, the director of Hamas’ police in the region, and his deputy, Hassam Shahwan, in the strike.

Medical sources reported that 38 people have been killed in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip since Thursday morning.
The Hamas-run Ministry of Interior mourned the victims, stating that the targeting of the police chief aims to spread chaos and deepen the humanitarian suffering in Gaza.
