Israeli Army Urges Khan Younis Residents to Evacuate Toward Al-Mawasi

The Israeli military issued evacuation notices on Monday to residents of several neighborhoods in Khan Younis, located in the southern Gaza Strip. The army called on civilians to leave their homes and move westward to the Al-Mawasi area, which has been designated as a “safe zone.”

In an official statement, Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee said: “We urge all individuals in central Khan Younis—specifically in blocks 107, 108, and 109—to evacuate immediately toward the west. The Israel Defense Forces are conducting intensive operations targeting what it described as the infrastructure of armed groups in the area.”

The statement continued: “The army will target any site used for launching rocket fire. For your safety, we strongly recommend evacuating the area immediately to Al-Mawasi and avoiding a return to conflict zones.”
Adraee noted that the evacuation orders do not apply to Al-Amal Hospital and Nasser Hospital, which remain operational.

The Israeli army emphasized that the measure falls under what it described as “precautionary steps to minimize risks to the civilian population,” amid the ongoing escalation in the Gaza Strike.
