Israeli Chief of Staff Conducts Field Tour Inside Syrian Territory

The Israeli Ministry of Defense confirmed that Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi conducted a field tour in Syria on Sunday. The ministry noted that several military commanders accompanied Halevi on his tour, including the Northern Command leader and the commander of the 210th Division.

During his visit, Halevi stated that the disintegration of Syria prompted Israeli forces to take control of strategic sites in the region, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a presence there to ensure security and defend Israel.

It is worth noting that the Israeli army has extended its control over areas in southern Syria following the collapse of Bashar al-Assad’s government, and has established a helipad on Mount Hermon.

Meanwhile, the current Syrian authorities have demanded the immediate withdrawal of Israeli forces from those areas.
