Israeli Escalation in South Lebanon Leaves Casualties
A day of intense Israeli escalation in South Lebanon saw multiple airstrikes targeting towns across the region, resulting in casualties and widespread damage. One strike on the town of Tura in the Tyre district killed one civilian and injured eight others, as rescue teams rushed to affected areas under continuous aerial activity.

Evacuation Warnings in Multiple Villages
As part of the ongoing Israeli escalation in South Lebanon, the Israeli military issued urgent evacuation notices to residents of:

Residents were told to vacate buildings marked in red on circulated maps and remain at least 500 meters away, with claims that these areas contain Hezbollah infrastructure and may be targeted in the coming hours.
Israel Says Strikes Hit Hezbollah Infrastructure
The Israeli military declared it had completed a wave of strikes against what it described as “infrastructure and weapons depots belonging to Hezbollah’s Radwan unit.”
It claimed that the operations followed warnings intended to avoid civilian casualties and were conducted using precision munitions and aerial intelligence.
Officials further asserted that Hezbollah has been attempting to rebuild military sites in South Lebanon, placing storage facilities within civilian neighborhoods.
Israeli Leadership Meets to Discuss Developments
Amid the growing Israeli escalation in South Lebanon, Israeli media reported that the security cabinet convened to assess possible escalation scenarios.
Channel 12 quoted a military official stating that the attacks were “only the beginning,” while public broadcasters indicated the strikes were meant to signal that failure to disarm Hezbollah could lead to a much larger confrontation.
Reports also suggested coordination with U.S. representatives located at Israel’s Northern Command.
Lebanese Army Condemns Attacks
The Lebanese Army issued a statement condemning the Israeli strikes as a continuation of a “destructive approach” aimed at destabilizing Lebanon and expanding devastation in the south.
It affirmed continued coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), emphasizing the strength of their joint partnership.
Lebanese Leaders Respond
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun described the latest offensive as a “full-fledged crime” under international humanitarian law, stressing that Israel escalates whenever Lebanon shows openness to diplomatic resolutions.
Army Commander Rudolf Heikal reportedly proposed freezing the internal plan to regulate weapons while Israeli attacks continue.
UNIFIL Warns of Rising Tensions
UNIFIL confirmed that it is monitoring both air and ground movements in South Lebanon. It warned that ongoing violations threaten the fragile calm and hinder the return of displaced families along the Blue Line.
Regional Groups Voice Support for Lebanon
The Hamas movement condemned what it called “ongoing criminal aggression on civilians in South Lebanon,” urging Arab and Islamic governments to intervene and hold Israel accountable.
Yemen’s Ansar Allah political bureau also condemned the Israeli escalation in South Lebanon, expressing support for Lebanon’s people and resistance, and calling for international solidarity.
