Israeli Forces Move North and Conduct Field Operations Near Al-Khiyam, Southern Lebanon

Israeli Forces Raise Readiness on the Border to Address Potential Movements or Emergency Scenarios
RT reported that Israeli forces carried out operations early Tuesday in Al-Khiyam, southern Lebanon. The report stated that the actions affected buildings in the Wadi al-Asafir area within the southern district of the town, following previous Israeli airstrikes targeting the valley extending between the towns of Aaza, Roumine, Arki, the outskirts of Jbaa, and the elevated areas of Jabal Safi.

Military Movements on the Northern Border
In a related development, Maariv reported that Tel Aviv is considering possible Israeli army movements after the weather improves and the Christmas and New Year holidays conclude, in order to continue steps described as disarming Hezbollah.
The newspaper noted that the current stormy weather may limit Israeli activity in the north, despite the ongoing state of alert.

Additional Details
In this context, the Israeli army stated that the fighters of the “Mountains” Brigade (810), operating in the areas of Jabal Dov and Mount Hermon, completed a two-day training under complex weather conditions to maintain readiness and strengthen preparedness for emergency scenarios.
According to the military statement, the training involved reserve units and regular forces in cooperation with medical teams, including exercises on transitioning from routine to emergency, missile firing, responding to infiltration attempts, and evacuating large numbers of casualties simultaneously.
The army added that the coming days would see intensified activity along the northern border, continuing target collection and readiness in case of any movements by Hezbollah.

U.S. Support
The Northern Command also warned that harsh weather conditions, including reduced visibility, could provide an opportunity to move weapons or equipment or deploy field units. The newspaper noted that any extensive U.S. support might require additional arrangements with the American administration.
