The Israeli Army Radio reported that the father of soldier Omer Notra, who was killed while in captivity, stated that the resumption of the war serves the Israeli government’s interests, pointing out that the hostages could be the victims in this crisis.

In related news, Israeli media outlets quoted a security source saying, “We will return to negotiations under fire until the hostages are released,” explaining that a new phase is underway to reach another prisoner exchange deal. Another security source told Yisrael Hayom that these negotiations could pave the way for another prisoner swap.

Additionally, the Israeli Army Radio reported that the Israeli Navy launched strikes on targets on Gaza’s shores later on.

Meanwhile, Knesset member Ofer Kasif stated, “What’s happening is not the collapse of the ceasefire, but a deliberate action by the Israeli government to maintain its rule.”
