Javad Zarif Offers Advice on How to Deal with the United States

Mohammad Javad Zarif, former advisor to the Iranian president, has advised his country on how to deal with U.S. President Donald Trump.
Zarif, who resigned earlier this March, stated that the best way to confront Trump is to avoid fueling extremism.
In a televised interview on Monday evening, Zarif explained that Trump was extreme in his rhetoric and behavior during his first term. However, in his current term, he is focused on creating a propaganda-driven atmosphere while simultaneously implementing a practical agenda.
He added that Trump’s stance remains unclear, making it difficult to predict his actions against Iran. Zarif questioned whether Trump genuinely seeks peace or if he intends to take aggressive measures against Iran.
On this matter, Zarif emphasized that Tehran will not allow the Americans and Israelis to portray it as a proponent of war.
Meanwhile, Trump warned yesterday that if the Ansar Allah movement continues attacking U.S. ships in the Red Sea, Iran will face serious consequences. He had also previously hinted at the possibility of using force instead of negotiations regarding Iran’s nuclear program.
It is worth noting that Mohammad Javad Zarif resigned earlier this month, just hours after the dismissal of Economy Minister Abdolnaser Hemmati, following the deterioration of Iran’s national economy.
