Lamine Yamal Extends Contract with Barcelona Until 2031: Massive Release Clause and Impressive Stats
Spanish club FC Barcelona officially announced on Tuesday the contract extension of young talent Lamine Yamal until the summer of 2031, reaffirming the club’s commitment to one of the most promising graduates of its La Masia academy.

Yamal signed the new contract at the club’s headquarters, with FC Barcelona President Joan Laporta, First Vice President Rafa Yuste, and Sporting Director Deco in attendance, alongside several club representatives.
This extension follows an outstanding season by Yamal with the senior team, in which he played 55 matches across all competitions, scoring 18 goals and providing 25 assists. His performances were instrumental in Barcelona winning both La Liga and the Copa del Rey during the 2024–2025 season.
At the international level, Yamal played a key role for the Spanish national team in its UEFA Euro 2024 victory. He was named the tournament’s Best Young Player and also received the 2024 Golden Boy award, as well as the Kopa Trophy for best young player, presented by France Football magazine.
Since making his debut for the first team, Yamal has played 73 matches for Barcelona, scoring 14 goals and creating numerous scoring opportunities. He has also earned 19 international caps for Spain, scoring four goals.
