Large congestion in northern Syria between peasants and SDD due to wheat price

The bulletin issued by the Autonomous Administration in northern Syria on the price of buying wheat from peasants caused significant congestion resulting in demonstrations and arrests.
The purchase price for a kilo of wheat in northeastern Syria, where the American-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) control about 20 US cents, fell from last year, selling last year at 50 cents and will now be sold at 31 cents.
The Syrian Government raised the price of a kilo of wheat to 5,500 Syrian pounds, an estimated more than 33 cents.
Self-management insisted on the price it had set, saying that the cost was 29 cents.
