Lavrov discusses Syrian settlement

Today, Wednesday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will meet with the UN Special Envoy to Syria, Geir Pedersen.
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman confirmed that the meeting aims to discuss the Syrian settlement, on February 23.
Zakharova also told reporters: “On February 23, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will meet with Mr. Pedersen, the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Syria. It is scheduled to discuss a range of issues related to the Syrian settlement.”
Zakharova also added that “talks are scheduled to take place in Moscow on February 21, between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Syrian Foreign Minister [Faisal] Mikdad.
