Learn about the features and launch date of the first solar-powered car

The Dutch company “Lightyear” announced that it will start producing its first versions of solar-powered cars by the end of this year.
The company revealed part of its design for the awaited car, which will carry solar panels on the roof of its car, the hood and the rear trunk to feed the battery that supplies the mechanism with clean electric energy, which enables it to run for about 388 km before recharging.
According to the CEO of the company, “Lex Hofsloot”, what distinguishes the expected car is the most efficient powertrain in the world, in addition to its light weight, which is its reliance on clean energy, unlike other electric cars that need generators for charging that run on traditional fuel.
It is scheduled to launch the first version of the company’s productions upon completion next year, which will be called Lightyear 0.
