Life sentence for those accused of attempting to assassinate Sisi

The Military Criminal Court in Egypt issued a life sentence against 32 defendants who were convicted of forming terrorist cells, which aimed to carry out several operations, including the assassination of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
In June 2019, the court issued life sentences for the defendants in the case known in the media as the “attempted to assassinate Sisi.”
The lawyer for the accused, Khaled Al-Masry, said on his Facebook page that “the Supreme Court of Military Appeals decided to reject all appeals and uphold all sentences as they are, except for only two of the accused, which modified their sentence from life to 15 years.”
