Minister of Arab origin in the British government

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Wednesday appointed Nazem Al-Zahawi as Education Minister in his government.
Al-Zahawi is a British politician of Iraqi origin who became a British Member of Parliament in the 2010 elections.
In November 2020, Boris Johnson appointed Nazim Al-Zahawi as the minister responsible for distributing the COVID-19 vaccine.
Al-Zahawi was born in Iraq in 1967 and raised in East Sussex in south London and received his school education at King’s College in Wimbledon in London and his university education at University College London.
