Mockery of Zidane ousts FFA president

The president of the French Football Federation, Noel Le Grete, was removed from his post after his remarks against former soccer star Zinedine Zidane.
Sports media said his deputy, Philippe Diallo, would temporarily take over.
Le Grete, responding to a question about extending coach Didier Deschamps’ contract, said he “would not have replied to Zidane if he had contacted him, pointing out that Deschamps was the first choice for the French federation.”
This statement received a wide and violent response from governmental and non-governmental bodies, players and clubs, including Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappe.
