New Developments in Southern Lebanon: Army Redeployment and Challenges in Implementing International Resolutions

The Lebanese Army Command announced on Friday the completion of the redeployment of military units in the towns of Shaheen and Al-Jabeen in southern Lebanon, following the Israeli withdrawal from these areas.
This was done in coordination with UNIFIL and the Quintet Committee overseeing the ceasefire agreement.

Meanwhile, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the postponement of the Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon, stating that the Lebanese state had not fully implemented the agreement.
The statement emphasized that the withdrawal is linked to the full implementation of the agreement and coordination with the U.S. administration, while the plan originally called for a complete withdrawal by next Sunday.
