Police use dogs to suppress Amsterdam protests

Thousands demonstrated in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam, in apparent defiance of a ban on gathering, to protest the government’s measures to impose lockdown measures.
Demonstrators gathered in one of the main squares in Amsterdam, before heading to a park.
And there were limited clashes between a group of demonstrators and riot police, during the police forces’ attempt to expel the demonstrators from the museum square, in implementation of the orders of the mayor of Amsterdam, Vimke Halsema.
The police also arrested some protesters, and their police dogs bit one of them by the arm.
The local government banned the protest, saying that the police had information indicating that a number of protesters intended to “engage in violence.”
