President al-Shara at the National Dialogue Conference: The New Government’s Vision for Rebuilding Syria and Maintaining Civil Peace

Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara confirmed at the opening of the National Dialogue Conference that Syria is indivisible, emphasizing that the country is “a complete whole.” He explained that the unity of arms and their monopoly in the hands of the state is not a luxury but a duty and necessity, pointing to the importance of rebuilding the state in light of the significant challenges Syria has faced over the past years.

President al-Shara added that Syria endured many economic and political hardships under the previous regime, but the revolution saved the country from ruin. He confirmed that Syria has returned to its people after being “stolen in a moment of carelessness.” He stressed that civil peace is a duty for all citizens, urging different segments of society to collaborate in rebuilding the state.

The Syrian president also pointed out that the achieved victory angered some parties, emphasizing that Syria liberated itself and must continue to rebuild itself independently, away from importing political systems that do not fit its reality. He argued that the country must remain free from becoming a “testing ground for political dreams.” The conference continues for its second day, with over 500 Syrian political and national figures in attendance, calling for collective efforts to build Syria’s future.
