Pro tennis legend Roger Federl announces his retirement

Swiss tennis star Roger Federer, 41, announced his retirement from professional tennis after winning 20 Grand Slam titles.
And according to his tweet on Twitter, Federel said that his farewell party will be the Laver Cup scheduled in London next week.
“I worked hard to get back to the level of competition,” the player said. “But I also know my body’s capabilities and limits, and the message I received from him recently was clear. I am 41 years old.”
“I’ve played more than 1,500 matches in 24 years. Tennis has treated me with generosity beyond all my dreams and now I have to figure out the right time to end my professional career,” the Swiss star added.
He underwent three surgeries in the last two years and his last match in the ATP tournament was a defeat by Hubert Hurkacz in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon 2021.
He finished his career with 103 titles, the second most decorated player in history after Jimmy Connors, and reached 137 finals.
