Putin grants Russian citizenship to Washington enemy

Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a decree granting citizenship to American Edward Snowden who has resided in Russia since 2014.
Sunowden is an American citizen born in 1983, a former agent of the United States National Security Agency.
In 2013, Snowden announced methods of electronic surveillance by United States and British intelligence agencies, as well as the transfer of their citizens’ personal data to each other.
Snowden claimed that these countries’ intelligence services were involved in illegal wiretapping of foreign leaders’ talks.
