Doha is awaiting a clear Israeli answer regarding Biden’s proposal

Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid Al-Ansari revealed on Tuesday that Doha is waiting for a “clear” Israeli position representing the entire Israeli government regarding US President Joe Biden’s proposal to reach a truce for the war in the Gaza Strip.
He added, “When we reach approval from Hamas and Israel, we move to the procedural side of the negotiations to implement the agreement on the ground.”
On Friday, Biden announced a three-phase plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip, and said that the first phase is supposed to last six weeks and will include a “complete and comprehensive” ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from all populated areas in Gaza, and the release of a number of civilians. of women, the elderly and the wounded hostages in exchange for the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners.
According to the US President, at this stage, the Palestinians will return to their homes throughout Gaza, and humanitarian aid will increase to 600 trucks per day.
The first phase will also include talks between Israel and Hamas to reach the next phase, which is supposed to include the release of all hostages, and Israel’s complete withdrawal from the Strip.
