Real Madrid hosts Liverpool to qualify
Real Madrid will host its counterpart, Liverpool, on the grounds of the Santiago Bernabeu, today, Wednesday, in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League final.
The Real Madrid team had achieved a big victory over Liverpool in the first leg that was held at Anfield, the Reds’ stronghold, by five goals against two, to put the royal team forward in the quarter-finals.
Real Madrid holds the Champions League title, after defeating Liverpool in the final, with a clean goal, scored by its Brazilian star Vinicius Junior.
Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, coach of Real Madrid, confirmed in the press conference for the Liverpool match in the Champions League, that the royal team must play with the same strength that appeared in the first leg.
Real Madrid enters the Liverpool match in the second leg of the Champions League final with its striking strength, after Ancelotti confirmed in the press conference the readiness of Frenchman Karim Benzema, the team’s top scorer, to participate in the match.
Despite the heavy defeat in the first leg, Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp raises the slogan of challenge in an attempt to win against Real Madrid in order to continue in the championship and reconcile the fans after losing to Bournemouth in the league.
