JD Vance: No ceasefire in Lebanon under truce agreement with Iran
JD Vance: Lebanon not covered by truce agreement.. Trump has options to return to war
U.S. Vice President JD Vance said that the Iranians mistakenly believed the ceasefire agreement included Lebanon, adding that “it does not.” He explained that the Israelis opposed restraint in Lebanon.
Vance added that the Iranians must come to the negotiating table seriously and take the next step, otherwise President Donald Trump has options to return to war.
He said that the more concessions Iran makes, the greater the gains it will achieve from the negotiations. Vance affirmed that the ceasefire is focused on Iran and its allies, specifically Israel and the Gulf states.
