Ronaldo rivals Al-Sumah for West Asian Player of the Year award

The Asian Football Association nominated Syrian player Omar al-Sumah for the West Asian Player of the Year award last February, with a crowd vote.
This comes after the Syrian striker managed to score 4 goals in an Arabian club shirt, in the Qatar Stars League.
5 other players were nominated, most notably the Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo of the Saudi Victory team, who contributed to 10 goals in the Saudi League, scoring 8 and delivering two decisive assists.
The order to select the winner of the prize will be left to the public from among the 6 names, with voting to be extended until next Sunday, 5 March.
