Ruble at its strongest level against Euro

The Russian ruble hit a two-year euro high, supported by tax payments that companies are expected to pay this week as the market looks ahead to the central bank’s decision on interest on Friday.
The ruble jumped 3.7% to trade at 77.17 against the euro after hitting 76.396 earlier in the session, its strongest level since June 2020.
The ruble rose 3.11% against the US dollar to 73.13 to hover around its levels before February 24 when Russia sent tens of thousands of troops to Ukraine.
