Russia celebrates “Father” starting this year

Russian President Vladimir Putin has issued a new presidential decree to designate an official holiday called “Father’s Day” to be celebrated starting this year.
The holiday was established to be on the third Sunday of October every year.
On this basis, official holidays in Russia will increase another day.
According to the presidential decree, Father’s Day was established “in order to strengthen the institution of the family and increase the importance of fatherhood in raising children.”
