Russia downs US plane in Black Sea and tension mounts

The Russian Defense Ministry announced that an American drone had fallen into the Black Sea and said that the plane had been shot down by its impact on the water surface.
The Russian defense said Russian fighters did not come into contact with the U.S. march over the Black Sea, and that the U.S. march lost control of a sharp manoeuvre and hit the surface of the water.
The U.S. march violated Crimea’s airspace and blocked transponders.
The ministry denied that Russian fighters used airborne weapons against the American march, and confirmed that Russian fighters returned safely to their base at the airport.
For its part, Washington announced the summoning of Russia’s ambassador “after the Sukhoi fighter hit the Ripper march over the Black Sea.”
The Pentagon said it was necessary to break down the march in the Black Sea because of its damage.
