Bogdanov said to Russian media, on Saturday: “We are dealing with the issue of holding a ministerial meeting. As for holding consultations at the level of military experts for Russia, Turkey and Syria, he explained that “following the December 28 (2022) meeting of the defense ministers of the three countries (Russia, Syria, Turkey), the parties announced that they will hold their first meeting at the expert level in February 2023 within this formula. “.
This came after Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said, on Thursday, that military delegations from his country, Russia and Syria would soon hold talks at a technical level.
It is also mentioned that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on December 15, 2022 that he had invited his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, to hold a tripartite meeting with the participation of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, provided that this summit is preceded by negotiations at the level of representatives of the security services and the ministers of defense and foreign affairs.
