Representatives of the Russian tourism sector revealed that the Russians bought almost all tours to resorts in Egypt, for the next two weeks.
All tickets on our charters were sold out by November 20th. Everything was sold out at prime time.”
In turn, “Tez Tour” reported that for reservations on November 10 to Sharm El Sheikh, and November 11 to Hurghada from Moscow, there are still places, but after that there are only a few. “For the 12th of November, there are more places from Kazan to Sharm el-Sheikh, and only then from the 15th, everywhere,” the company said.
The Russian agency said: “The demand for leasing programs to Egypt is high. The nearest flights are almost full. At the moment, the tour operator offers charter programs and tours on regular direct flights to Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh from Moscow and 30 other regions of Russia… The average duration of bookings is three to four weeks. We also note the high demand for the New Year holidays.”
As Dmitry Gorin, Vice President of the Russian Federation of the Travel Industry, explained that the resumption of charter flights between Russia and Egypt since November 9, as well as reasonable prices and a wide offer of hotel rooms, contribute to the increase in tour sales.
He continued, “Now, not all countries remain open, and the summer season in the Mediterranean resorts is over. In this case, Egypt is a leader in the preference of tourists who plan trips. There are short flights, great hotel offers and different budgets on the destination.”
