Serbia: The reason for the energy crisis is the failure of the European Union to sign contracts

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that one of the reasons for the energy crisis in Europe is the failure to sign long-term contracts with Russia for timely gas supplies.
The President of Serbia also added: “Many countries supplied their industries with gas at the lowest prices as they emerged from the epidemic, to stimulate economic growth. They consumed gas, but they did not sign long-term contracts with the Russians, so they remained in the end without gas.”
The Serbian leader also explained that the price of gas in Europe jumped from 400 dollars to 1.8 thousand dollars per thousand cubic meters.
Vucic noted that Serbia is actively negotiating with Russia the supply of natural gas at reduced prices.
